Twilight/New Moon

Ok, I finished Twilight in 4 and 1/2 days, bought New Moon, Eclipse, & Breaking Dawn. I finished New Moon on Saturday and am hoping to start Eclipse soon. It is very hard to keep Madison from telling me the exciting parts I have yet to read. She has already spoiled one part only because I asked and she slipped and told me. It is ok, I knew it was going to happen. I was not as into New Moon, but felt if I skipped any parts I would miss something or I would not understand something later. Madison had told me that New Moon was sad and it was to a point. I am starting to get sad that I am almost finished with the series. I'm just glad I do not have to wait for the next book to come out. They are all stacked on the table waiting for me. As for Edward, the person playing him in the movie is not what I had him picutred as. I sort of picutred a Cristiano Ronaldo/Justin Timberlake looking person. If there is such. Maybe Robert Pattinson fits the part better. I have not seen the movie. But, I cannot wait for it to come to DVD on March 21st. I will definately be buying this one.

What is all the Twilight fuss???

Ok, I now know why everyone is gaga over the Twilight series. Madison, April, and countless other people have recommended that I read this book. Well....now, I have started the first book and can not wait to get the chance to read it again. It is predictable sometimes and it does not help that Madison asks where I am and has this or that happened. I might have to read the next one. I'm definately seeing the movie.

Opossum

We've had a opossum in the pig barn a few nights, thanks to Madison calling me to let me know. So, we decided to set a trap and catch him. Like we need another animal. The last opossum we had, was sitting on the porch by the back door eating dog food. When I opened the back door, the opossum just looked at me like he was suppose to be there. As you can imagine, I screamed. Making Brett come and get rid of it. They are scarry little things. I'm not sure if he would have attacked but I was not taking any chances. Here is a pic of out catch.

Some are hard lessons learned

Tonight we all went to feed the 3 little pigs. Now, let me paint the scene. The pigs are in their own barn, complete with Christmas lights. There are slabs of concrete for the pigs and dirt everywhere else. I'm sure you know where this is going. When Gavin waters the pigs he does not cut the hose off, he leaves it running going from pen to pen. This wets the dirt making it mud. Lola & Daphane always turn over their water before we are even out of the barn. Mix the mud with the water from Gavin & the water from the pigs and you have a MUDDY MESS. Well...tonight Liam wanted to go in with Gavin. We tried to explain that it was too muddy and he might fall. Liam was still insisted that we was going in. OK, go in. He took three or four steps and fell in the mud mixture. Oh yeah, there are a few presents in this mix as well I'm sure. If you have children you know the cries they can produce. This cry that Liam let out was of sheer pain and disgust. His pants, hands, and me. He then wanted me to carry him to the house. Was he crazy??? I'm not getting that stuff on me. The good thing is he was wearing mud boots, so at least his feet were clean. The 20 feet to the house, all he could do was cry that he fell in the pig's yard. Ok, he said, Pig poop. I tried to tell it was just mud but the more I said that the more he said Pig poop. I had to take his clothes off outside the back door. I'm not sure how to wash them. I'm not sure I will. There is no picture of this as I was trying to comfort him. I thought that would add insult to injury. Now, I wish I had a picture.

Bella's walking again

I'm blogging about one of my pigs today. Ok...I admit it is a slow day, but that is ok. Sometimes you need a slow day. This morning after church and the usual mexican food lunch, I hurried and changed clothes to check on Bella. Yes, she is a pig and I had to check on her. If you remember, she had some problems in Ft. Worth. Well...after reading many message boards and researching pig stress, I thought I would try something as natural as I could. She was very stiff in her hind legs so I thought about giving her pickle juice, it works on humans when they have leg cramps. As crazy as it sounds it is even crazier to watch me give her pickle juice. She was not too keen on this at first, but now she likes the taste. Eveidently, there is some magic in the juice. This afternoon, she is able to bend her leg, which is excellent news. This means she might be ready for Houston. There is no way she would be ready for San Antonio, but maybe Houton. I am really hoping since Madison got a new pink pig stick.

I need a burger & a drink

You never know what Liam is going to ask for. Monday when we picked him up from "school" he told us "He needed a burger and a drink". It cannot be any ole burger, it has to be from "Sonit" (Sonic) and sometimes from the lady burger place (Wendy's). When I was a kid, it was always McDonalds. Not with my kids...all three like Sonic. Especially Liam. He is very particular about his burger, it has to have a pickle or it is not a burger.Tonight, he asked for crazy food. What is crazy food you ask. It's chinese food. Don't ask me why he calls it crazy food, but he knows where it is and how to get to the restaurant. Now all he eats are almond cookies and chicken from my chicken fried rice. Something he could eat at home. Who knows what he will ask to eat tomorrow.

Divine Consign

What they are getting close to the limit (60,000) of items?!?!? (Thanks for the warning April) I better get busy or I'll be left out. Oh no, I'm going to get all of my stuff in TONIGHT or ELSE!!!! 7:00p.m.

9:41 - I'm DONE, I'm DONE, I'M DONE!!!!! Yipee I'm done.

If you are wondering what is Divine Consign, well it is a bi-annual sale of children's clothes, toys & baby gear. At pre-sale, it is a mad house of people running in to get the best stuff or what one would think as the PRIZE. This year, it will be a bed for Liam (there was a Thomas the Train bed in the fall) and some more outdoor toys, like we need anymore outdoor toys and then clothes. I always scope out the stuff when I drop off, just to see what they prices are and if there is something I just have to have. Last spring I spent a little over $100 and came out with 17 complete outfits (Gap, Gymboree, Polo, Jannie & Jack). The rules for consigning are pretty strict, so the outfits I bought were in good condition. As for now, I am hoping I did not miss something. As for the dining room, it looks like a children's store threw up. There are clothes on chairs, toys on the table. Thanks to Madison & Gavin for bringing me stuff to tag in. Ugh!!!!, now I have to print the tags, iron the clothes and pin the tags. Oh Madison....you want to make some extra money$$$$$.
